Holy Matrimony

Grace be unto us and peace from God; our Father and the Lord Christ; Jesus. We have come together in the presence of God to witness the wedding of________________and___________________and to ask God to bless them. This wedding is a celebration of marriage as a gift of God in which two people become one flesh. It is a celebration of their promise to be loyal to each other without reservation, without end. It is a celebration of a new time of life and its responsibility for passing on beliefs and values they hold to the generation which will follow them_____________and_________________want to place this day and their lives under the rule of Christ. Let us pray that, by God's help, they might do so.

**Opening Prayer: Lord's Prayer than........

Gracious God, You have taught us through Christ Jesus; that love is the fulfilling of the law. Grant to these your two people that loving one another they may continue in Your love until their lives' end, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

**Scripture:4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1 Corin. 13: 4-7
